This third-generation model has been designed to offer you a number of significant improvements for an even more immersive wireless listening experience. Designed to be paired with your hi-fi or audio system, Zen Blue 3 lets you enjoy high-definition sound reproduction from any Bluetooth source. Whether you're using your smartphone, tablet, computer or even an audiophile music player, the Zen Blue 3 will magnify your sound like no other device.
High-performance wireless technologies and Hi-Res sound
With the ZEN Blue 3, you can enjoy all the benefits of high-quality wireless technology with your audio equipment. This model is equipped with the Qualcomm 5181 chip offering Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity compatible with the aptX Lossless codec. This Bluetooth connectivity also supports SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC and HWA codecs up to 96kHz for the ultimate wireless audio experience.
And to give you even more vivid performance, the Qualcomm chip is backed up by the ESS Sabre DAC and various high-performance Hi-Fi circuits. The ZEN Blue 3 can therefore function as a wired DAC, offering 24-bit/96kHz sound via USB-C, or even 24-bit/192kHz via the S/PDIF input. You can also take advantage of the unbalanced RCA and balanced 4.4 mm Pentaconn analogue outputs.
Premium performance for greater versatility
Totally plug-and-play, Zen Blue 3 offers unrivalled wireless transmission quality, with rich, detailed sound. It operates in three distinct modes, giving you even greater flexibility:
- RX mode allows Zen Blue 3 to receive Bluetooth signals from a source device and transmit the audio to your Hi-Fi system. This means you can stream music without any loss of quality.
- TX Mode allows the Zen Blue 3 to function as a Bluetooth transmitter. Broadcast the sound from your TV, games console or CD player to wireless headphones or speakers in superior quality.
- DAC Mode acts as a traditional wired DAC, accepting audio input via USB-C or S/PDIF connections.
Whether you choose RX, TX or DAC mode, Zen Blue 3 is capable of phenomenal audio performance. Its signal-to-noise ratio of 109 dB, with harmonic distortion of less than 0.005%, and its frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz ensure unforgettable sound quality. Finally its switchable low-latency mode dramatically reduces the time it takes to send and receive audio, ensuring that the sound will always be perfectly synchronised with the video content.
