Superior video quality
Whether it's rehearsals, concerts or anything else you want to record, the Q8 is a powerful tool that gives you the ability to keep track of what's important to you. It features 4 HD video modes up to 2304 x 1296 (HD 3M) resolution, MOV recording and a 160 degree wide-angle lens with f/2 aperture and 4x digital zoom.
The Q8 also features 10 scene presets to suit all lighting conditions and a convenient "Auto" setting. A self-timer allows you to delay the start of recording by 3, 5 or 10 seconds for added flexibility.
Detachable microphones
With its interchangeable capsule system, the Zoom Q8 4-track recorder offers you extensive functionality. Included with your Q8 is the XYQ-8 microphone. The X/Y microphone provides stereo capture with unidirectional microphones covering a 120° soundstage at the front.
Additional (optional) microphones are available to further enhance the potential of your audio/video recorder. Ultimately, this model is capable of recording Hi-Res Audio up to 24-bit/96kHz in WAV format.
4-track recorder
In addition to stereo recording, the Zoom Q8 offers 2 additional tracks via its XLR/Jack 6.35mm mic/line inputs. You can choose phantom power and an attenuator. Easily save your best captures via an SD card up to 128GB.
This model also features a 3.5mm headphone/line output, a speaker, a micro HDMI port and a mini USB type B port. The latter provides a connection to a computer to use your Q8 as a webcam, audio interface or mass storage.
Ease of use
Theadjustable LCD touchscreen offers comfort and intuitive operation, while a standard tripod mount gives you the option of creating a custom setup. Place the Q8 wherever you like and enjoy its superior qualities in every situation!
As for battery life, the Zoom Q8 has a rechargeable battery with 2 hours of use in 720p mode.
