The VG27AQ is the first gaming monitor to combine two technologies that are normally impossible to activate simultaneously: AdaptiveSync (FreeSync/G-Sync) and Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB).
Today, ASUS has managed to combine these two technologies and has equipped this monitor with them in the form of ELMB-Sync. Thanks to this major innovation, it is now possible to benefit from the best of both worlds (i.e. the benefits of G-Sync for better fluidity without tearing coupled with the reduction of ghosting and blurred areas during rapid movements of ULMB) without being forced to do without one or the other! This monitor is G-Sync compatible and can therefore benefit from both Nvidia and AMD know-how depending on the graphics card used.
All screens emit varying amounts of blue light, which can be harmful to the eyes if exposed for long periods. To effectively address this issue, ASUS Ultra Low Blue Light technology effectively reduces these emissions through 5 different selectable levels. Flicker is also combated by the Flicker-Free system so that you can play for longer periods of time under the best conditions.
With its ergonomic design, the VG27AQ can be adjusted according to your preferences: the stand is adjustable over a 130 mm stroke, the slab tilt is adjustable over +33/-5 degrees and the whole unit can be rotated easily over 90 degrees on each side. In addition, the swivel function allows the panel to be switched from landscape to portrait format and vice versa very easily.

It's a great screen with beautiful contrasts that make a change from my 60hz (my eyes thank me :p), it's very easy to assemble (2min), a menu in French filled with nice options. I don't regret my purchase.
This screen is a good one, but having been a G-Sync enthusiast since the beginning, I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with G-Sync on this screen, which is finally "G-sync compatible".
On my other G-Sync screen, the G-Sync chip is built into the screen, unlike G-Sync Compatibility (software). And it has to be said that G-Sync Compatibility on this screen is obviously inferior.
Apart from that, it's still a good screen.
I switched from a Full HD screen (also from ASUS) to this QHD screen, and the difference is really noticeable.
The picture is superb, even in QHD / 60 Hz mode.
Now it's my PC that's slowing down and preventing me from using the QHD / 144 Hz mode :-(
I paid over £500 for it when I bought it, the warranty is up and it's no longer working (even though I still have an old viewsonic next door that works perfectly).
I'd advise you to avoid it if you want a screen for the long term.

The sound is a little weak, so bring speakers or headphones if you want to play in good conditions.
The sRGB mode is a little too dull for my taste.
