TheAlpine Dash Cam DVR-F800PRO is an in-car camera that continuously records the view through the windshield of your vehicle. The recorded footage can be used as digital evidence in the event of a road accident, burglary or vandalism. It records in Full HD 1080p at 30 frames per second and incorporates the Sony Exmores STARVIS image sensor for excellent recording quality, even at night. This allows you to record important details, such as vehicle number plates, to provide irrefutable evidence of events in court. GPS geo-information and driving speed are also recorded. In the event of an accident, the Active Crash Monitoring system will automatically record video data ten seconds before and after a collision recorded by the 3-axis G-sensor. The DVR-F800PRO comes with a 32GB micro SD card. TheAlpine Dash Cam DVR-F800PRO gives you a perfect picture at night (or in low light). Its Sony Exmor R STARVIS image sensor applied to the DVR-F800PRO provides rich colours and optimal resolution. STARVIS technology improves low-light sensitivity. With a built-in GPS antenna, it uses GPS data to accurately locate the vehicle's position and routes with its driving speed on the map.

This DVR-F800PRO camera has additional technology to help you drive. Lane Departure Warning alerts you if your vehicle leaves its lane. Forward Collision Warning helps prevent or reduce the severity of a collision. Forward Vehicle Departure Warning tells the driver that the vehicle in front is moving away from an intersection. You can also download a speed camera database to the DVR-F800PRO to receive warnings when you are approaching a danger zone. Drowsy or distracted driving greatly increases the risk of a traffic accident. The Lane Departure Warning System will therefore alert the driver when the vehicle leaves the lane at speeds above 50 km/h. Accidents can be avoided by maintaining a sufficient safety distance. The DVR-F800PRO 's forward collision warning system calculates the real-time distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you, when you are driving at a speed of more than 30km/h on a motorway or less than 30km/h in a busy city. Finally, when your car is stopped at an intersection or in traffic, the intelligent guidance system informs you that the vehicle in front has started to move, avoiding a delayed response in case you stopped looking ahead.

For even greater ease of use, the DVR-F800PRO camera is compatible with the dedicatedsmartphone application developed by Alpine. Download the Thinkware Dash Cam Mobile viewer from the Apple App Store or Google Play to check, download or delete recordings, update firmware or view a live view of your dash cam (very handy when setting up and configuring your camera). Your phone will connect to the Dash Cam using WiFi technology. Unlike many dash cams that interfere with the signal reception of DAB and DVB-T tuners, this Alpine Dash Cam DVR-F800PRO generates very low electrical noise and therefore does not damage the reception of digital radio and TV signals in the car. Finally, it includes a cable harness to connect your camera directly to the vehicle's battery, as well as a cigarette lighter connection harness for easy installation.
