A good or excellent product depending on the purpose

First of all, we must underline the Yamaha quality:
    - precise and clear sound, present bass without saturation
    - easy to set up, but complicated settings are possible if you are demanding.

For the spacialization of the sound: stereo and centre nickel, but for the backs, do not expect any miracle especially if your living room is not a square or a rectangle (it is my case): it falls flat

    To be clear :
    - it's an excellent product if you're looking for clear and efficient sound even at low volume (this bar is well above what I've seen from competitors in terms of sound bars) to watch TV without having to buy a complete home cinema system
    - if you are a "purist" and want spatialized sound: stick to classic home cinema (amp + speakers), this bar is a good product but you will be disappointed on this point.

That said, it is possible to add Yamaha MusicCast speakers to make it a rear speaker, but at an additional cost...

    perfect!

Even on my old LG TV from 10 years ago, the HDMI soundbar/TV and console/soundbar connections are possible and easy! Also, turning on the soundbar is not necessary for the picture and sound to arrive on the TV (which is used if I use my console with a USB headset connected to the console, for example). The automatic sound configuration gave good results despite the fact that my room was not really adapted for an optimized sound. In short, it's all good.

    I am rediscovering the films

easy to set up and calibrate (20 minutes of unpacking included).
it is installed in my living room, open room of 50m2 with other room... and already the rendering is very good then in a square room with the walls close to the bar, the reverberation must be even more effective and the surround even more immersive.... for the purriste of course you will not have the rendering of a true 7.1, but not the cabling and the clutter either.

I had a 2.1 Focal Dome kit before buying this bar, my problem was that the absence of a central unit caused a loss of quality in the voices.... problem corrected a film with explosions in all directions ... the voices are intelligible.

I have a 65 inch samsung tv and those smart samsung guys make kits... I have a 65 inch samsung tv and these smart guys from samsung make kits..., maybe of qualities considering the partnership with harman, kits which do not pass between the legs of the tv (model 2019).
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy a new one, but I'm sure it's a good idea to buy a new one.

I put 9 and not 10 because I can not yet synchronize my phone (android) in bluetooth, at the same time I can use spotify through the wifi so not too annoying. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same software as spotify, but it's the first time I've had trouble with a bluetooth sync and it's frustrating.

I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good idea to have it in my pocket.

Good product but a bit expensive

The sound quality is really appreciable, but the 5.1 capabilities are limited and are more of a gimmick...

I've had it for 3 years and it's still working like it did on the first day. I have had it for 3 years and the system still works as it did on the first day despite daily use.

    Not completed

Concerning LDLC: I had subscribed to the availability alert. I had subscribed to the availability alert and when I saw that the product was available, I placed an order. Finally I receive the alert 1 week after the delivery. Fail.

The start-up is super easy. In cinema mode, the sound is just superb: the sound projection is impeccable, the voices stand out well, the bass has just the right amount of presence. It's very successful.

    Now the disappointments.

No. 1: the sound bar turns on the TV inopportunely. There must be an electrical signal that triggers the TV to turn on via the HDMI ARC price.
So I disconnected the HDMI ARC plug and connected the sound bar with the supplied optical cable. As a result, I can't use the 4K passthrough mode and to adjust the sound I have to use the soundbar's remote control. It's a pity because it was very convenient to use only one remote control to turn on/off the TV+bar and to use the TV remote control for the sound.

No. 2: the online services. They do work, but the sound is terrible. I've tried a lot of settings but never got a decent sound. I love music, I listen to a lot of it, for me it's useless.

N°3: the IOS application. Like many applications of this type, once installed, the first thing to do is to add the device that is supposed to be controlled by the application: in this case, of course, the sound bar.
First of all, this discovery can ONLY be done if the bar is accessible by Wifi. It's a pity that in my house everything is wired in ethernet. At the end of the procedure, the bar itself becomes a wifi hotspot to which the smartphone is connected. I have never seen such a convoluted discovery procedure.
A week later the soundbar disappeared from the application. It pissed me off: I uninstalled -> bin.

In conclusion: excellent sound, but many services next to it are in fact unusable. Considering the price, it leaves a bitter impression.

    Yamaha's excellent sound

Very good, clean, clear sound, deep bass and a multitude of optional settings. The sound projection effect is not as present as some would have you believe but this is probably related to the configuration of my listening room. However, it remains a pure pleasure to listen to a clear and precise sound. No need for a hi-fi system.

    A bit expensive though

I almost sent the product back after unpacking it and testing it as the sound was very average, not as good as my LG OLED B55V.

Important: You must first follow the manual to do the auto calibration in 3 steps. But above all the installation of the app on the tablet is o-bli-ga-tory to configure the sound beams. Problem, I really struggled to install it and it worked after 2 hours of trying to connect, a bit by miracle (I have a samsung tablet).

Once the installation is calibrated (not without difficulty), you will finally have a good sound projection in front of you, up to a semi-circle if you have some low walls on the sides to make the sounds bounce (it's amazing). Beware, the curtains pump the sound beams... The left and right effects are nice, better than my 5.1 on PC.

On the other hand, don't expect to have sounds coming from the back... unless you have a wall at 2m max behind your sofa and a square room, without curtains.

In the end, I was very satisfied with the blurays and the music. A little more mixed for video games and TV programmes. To be reserved for movie lovers. A bit expensive for the promise sold, hardly tenable for most users who do not all have square living rooms (I am in L).

Last info: the soundbar can be switched on and off at the same time as your TV. And the 107W are quite efficient, to my surprise.

    A little disappointed though

As far as LDLC is concerned, very good.

    Bar side :
    Design: ok, very well finished.
Connection - Settings: it is done quickly, very well (Box, Console and Chromecast), everything works well.

Music sound side: to pass from columns (Cabasse) with ampli to the bar that makes funny. The sound is much less enveloping, it lacks depth. That is equivalent to the good bluetooth speakers type Bose, Sonos, Harman etc.
It is not at all worth a Hi-Fi system with column speakers... But we didn't buy the bar for the music... So ok, until then.

On the movie side, we appreciate the distinction between voices, music and ambient sounds. The effects, right-left are managed but it is not worth 5 speakers spread in the room, it is not bad but a little disappointing (it was expected)

For the special effects, it's not bad, but the cabinet lacks a little depth. Clearly the bar would have deserved a more powerful box.

A little disappointed by the cabinet, it is a little short "from the back" in any case for a room of 45m2. Notably in term of envelopment of the sound thus of depth.

In the end, for those who have nothing, it is TOP, those who have a 5.1 you risk being a little disappointed.

    More than a sound bar

The clarity of the sound is worthy of high-end solutions! The combination of bar and cabinet does an excellent job and the overall result lives up to my expectations. I was looking for a quality sound installation that was as compact as possible but offered as many possibilities as possible, including spatialization.
On this point I am bluffed, in spite of a not optimal room (the point of listening is stuck to the back wall attenuating very strongly the back sounds) one feels that the sound surrounds us. Well it is not the level of a classic 7.1 installation, but it is not the same product either. I withdraw a half star on the note here because it is really necessary to have a room close, even identical to that of the notice to have an effective spatialization to 100% what is not obvious in practice.

The set up is particularly easy: the HDMI HUB + HDMI ARC is plug and play. Calibration included, the bar was operational in less than 10 minutes.

At the end of my current use (movies, series, video games, and some music) I am fully satisfied. Unfortunately such quality comes at a cost.

    Excellent Sound Bar

Fast reception. The bar and its cabinet deliver exceptional sound quality. Extremely pleased with this purchase. Very easy to set up and the connections are ideal (HDMI ARC). Excellent for movies, video games and Spotify. The design is very elegant.
